ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

The values that G.I. Industrial Holding S.p.A. promotes are consistent with its mission statement. In fact, increasing its production, a key result and goal to be achieved, goes hand in hand with increasing customer satisfaction and social welfare while respecting the environment. Therefore, the company should not only be considered a source of profitability, but also a place that allows people and the local area to grow, which also sets the benchmark with its business model based on eco-sustainability, to be achieved through technological innovation, aimed at eliminating environmentally hazardous substances and using new products that preserve the ecosystem.

The company – which is aware that the main success factors for any organisation are ensuring customers are satisfied with the service and that stakeholders, both internal and external, are also satisfied – has recognised the need to adopt an Environmental Management System in accordance with the UNI EN ISO 14001:2015 standard and to invest in an efficient and effective business organisation.

The Environmental Management System applies to all the activities that the company G.I. Industrial Holding S.p.A. carries out at its sites in Latisana (UD), Rivignano Teor (UD) and Piove di Sacco (PD), with regard to design, production, marketing and technical support for Liquid Chillers, Roof Top units, Heat pumps, Condensing units, Evaporating units, multifunctional combined systems, Fan Coil units, ductable Fan Coil units, Air Handling Units and Close Control units.

ENVIRONMENT AND RISK MANAGEMENT

G.I. Industrial Holding S.p.A., in accordance with the UNI EN ISO 14001:2015 standard, undertakes to implement significant impact prevention measures by adopting measures that are compatible with the company’s resources and are mainly aimed at ensuring optimal management of the following aspects:

  • Waste management: promoting an increase in separate waste collection and implementing proper waste management practices with the aim of limiting risks to the environment and people;
  • Atmospheric emissions: ensuring appropriate maintenance, control and monitoring of thermal and air conditioning systems and production plants;
  • Energy use with a focus on monitoring consumption in accordance with production schedules;
  • Noise impact: through practices that ensure compliance with the regulations in force;
  • Soil contamination: reducing the risk by carefully managing potential risks;
  • Emergency management: optimising the ability of personnel to handle emergencies through training;
  • Respecting the environment: promoting, wherever possible, the introduction of biodegradable and non-persistent, environmentally friendly products as well as raising awareness among suppliers of the importance of adopting environmentally friendly practices;
  • Compliance with applicable legislation.
